Abstract

This study, grounded in the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM), elucidated the formation mechanism of the continued intention to use recommendation systems for online shopping. In the first part, we examined the relationship between external variables (utilitarian motivation and hedonic motivation) and the perceived usefulness. In the second part, we verified the impact of the perceived usefulness on users' cognitive and emotional satisfaction. It was found that the perception of usefulness has a strong positive influence on cognitive satisfaction, emotional satisfaction, and users' continued intention to use.
