Abstract
Moon-gok Kim Soo-hang's poetry during his exile Moon-gok Kim Soo-hang composed poetry during his time of exile in Young-am. This paper aims to investigate his poetry from three sides. First, Kim Soo-hang didn't involve his personal feelings in describing nature and scenery. He only contemplated nature and scenery or viewed it romantically. In his poems, nature was just described beautifully, so no real (frank) aspect of life could be found in them. Second, his poems can be investigated through his friendships with important figures in the village, a penal settlement. He usually kept in touch with monks in temples around Wol-chool mt. and with scholars in the village. Third, even after he was freed from Young-am, he kept in contact with those people, by composing and exchanging poems with each other. He especially maintained contact with Nong-am(Lee Hyun-bo) and Sam-yeon (Kim Chang-heup).
