경북방언의 눈 흰자위와 달걀 흰자위

Abstract

n Seoul dialect hincawi means both eyewhite and the white of eye. But in Kyongbuk dialects there are various forms referring to these two things. In this article we have examined various forms and found interesting relationships between them. The relationship is represented by the follwoing form-meaning chain. (the white of eye) (도표) These words have both meanings in itself but if two words is selected in a dialect, form in the left means the white of eye and form in right means eggwhite. And by comparison between dialects it is clarified that earlier form of modern Korean cawi etc. and MK.c◎z◎ is c◎z◎l.
