Abstract
The mobile utilizing the Jinmyo tree from King Muryeong's Tomb, a Baekje national heritage site, encapsulates the meaning and spirit of this cultural heritage. The development of cultural products utilizing this tree holds even greater value because it combines traditional symbolism with modern design elements. This provides an opportunity to reexamine the beauty of traditional culture and the significance of the legacy left by our ancestors through the concrete medium of cultural products. Designing using Baekje cultural heritage is a crucial practical step in recognizing and preserving the value of traditional culture. By reinterpreting cultural heritage in a modern form, it serves as an effective medium for cultural communication. This study explores the design development of the Jinmyo tree from King Muryeong's Tomb. It explores design materials from cultural heritage sites embodying unique traditional imagery and reinterprets and develops them into new forms that align with contemporary sensibilities. The development of a mobile utilizing the Jinmyo tree from King Muryeong's Tomb can contribute to enhancing the brand value of cultural heritage and enhancing the national image by reinterpreting the symbolic image of national heritage in a modern way. Interest in and re-examination of traditional culture, such as K-pop, K-food, and K-culture, which have recently been attracting global attention, can ultimately become an important foundation for cultural globalization.
