새로 발굴된 ― 추사 김정희의 암행보고서

Abstract

Kim Chong-hui(1786-1856), whose pen name was Chusa, was a representative scholar who exerted great influence on confucianism, epigraphy, kojunghak(고증학) (a bibliographical study of Chinese classics) and arts in the 19th century who lived during the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty. Therefore, the materials related to Kim's works are always the center of attention. This material that I'd like to introduce is the report on the specific province's lives to the King written by Kim while travelling incognito as Amhaeng-Eosa(Secret Royal Inspector) at Choongchungwoo-do and some area in Gyeonggi-do in twenty sixth year of King Sunjo(1826). This material is also included in Ilseongnok(Daily records of the royal court and important officials in Joseon Dynasty), however, different in some expressions and the order of descriptions. Especially, the content of the first page in Seogye is only found out in this Report. This report have a great significance in two aspects. One is to correct the appointed year as the Amhaeng-Eosa that has been misunderstood, and the other is that we can see Kim's new calligraphic style called "Chusache“ in his report to the King.
