본 연구에서는 대형화 및 복잡화를 더해가고 있는 신규 엘리베이터 설치 프로젝트 관리에 있어서의 국내 시장 점유율 1위 기업의 사례를 바탕으로 기능 중심의 기존 조직상의 문제점과 이에 따른 프로젝트 업무절차상의 비효율성을 살펴보고, 이를 개선하기 위한 복합프로젝트 조직과 프로젝트 관리 프로세스의 체계화의 창출에 대하여 살펴본다. 또한, 이러한 프로젝트 관리 기법의 적용이 기업의 수익성, 비용절감, 그리고 설치 공기 단축 등의 경영성과에 미치는 영향 여부를 4년간의 사례기업의 경영성과 자료를 중심으로 실증하고자 MANOVA 분석을 실시하였다. 사례분석 결과, 프로젝트 관리기법의 적용이 기업의 경영성과 즉, 수익성 향상율과 설치비 절감율 등의 개선에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 새로운 엘리베이터의 설치기간에 관련되는 프로젝트 기간지수에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 프로젝트 규모에 따라서는 고려된 모든 경영성과가 유의한 것으로 판명되었다. 이러한 결과는 그동안 수주실적에만 노력을 기울이고 실제 수주한 프로젝트의 관리에는 소홀하여 결과적으로 경영손실에 이르는 신규 엘리베이터 설치산업에 있어서의 고질적인 문제에 대한 희망적인 방향으로서 작용할 수 있으며, 점점 대형화되고 복잡해지는 기업 환경에서는 더욱 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
With the increase of size and complexity of the projects in construction industry, the research on the development and/or utilization of project management has been popular. Since the nature of new elevator equipment industry cannot be separable from that of construction industry, the importance of the effective control of the new elevator installation projects has also been heightened. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to identify the influence of the application of project management in the new elevator equipment industry. To do this, four year business performance data are collected from the major new elevator equipment company which holds the first position in market share in Korean elevator market and MANOVA is used to analyze it. The results show that the newly adopted project management organization and processes are statistically significant to the business performances of the case company. It is also known that the size of the project also gives statistically significant impact on the business performances.
