고교학점제 도입에 따른 한문과 교육의 현재와 과제

Abstract

The high school credit system, a system in which, after a student selects and complete various subjects according to his/her aptitude and career, whether the student is eligible for graduation from a high school is determined on the basis of accumulated credits, is scheduled to be enforced completely in 2025. The Chinese character subject must be prepared for the high school credit system from every aspect including amendment of an educational course. For that, this article checks the present state of the Chinese character subject of preparing the high school credit system through documents related to the system. In the next, this article aims to find out our tasks for preparation of the high school credit system through a survey on and an interview with students. When checking various documents, it could be found that it is necessary to introduce in details Chinese character in lots of materials students and teachers have an access to, and not to omit introductory contents. In the meantime, it was found that the number of the Chinese character subjects students can select is small, but the courses of study and subjects in which students must compete increased. Under these situations it seems that there are seldom any good causes for which students must select. It is time that even the Chinese character subject needs to develop new courses of study. Considering contents of the survey and interview overall, a more concrete shape cold be given to establishment of additionally elective Chinese character subjects. First, in the aspect of attractiveness of the subject, it is needed to develop a subject which, students can feel, are related to their careers, while their learning burden can be reduced, so that they are able to easily start to study the subject. In the next, from the aspect of necessity of the subject, it is needed to develop a subject for the students who want in-depth study during a Chinese character class in relation to their careers for majoring humanities. I hope that, on the basis of contents of this study, in order to supple the present weakness and to prepare for the forthcoming high school credit system, all of teachers, researchers, educational course developers, etc. who are in charge of Chinese character subjects will try together.
