국내 외국인 축제 개최 현황보고: 대표 사례를 중심으로

Abstract

In Korea, many festivals are held every year. Among them, there are festivals that have continued their tradition over the years, while there are many festivals that disappear after being held in a single event. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the insolvency of the programs that make up the festival that fail to continue its existence. In this respect, the Gumi Foreign Workers Culture Festival can be said to be a representative example of an excellent festival. The Gumi Foreign Workers Culture Festival has been steadily held since its first opening in 2003. Even though this festival is not a government-led festival, what has been carried out so far is that foreign workers themselves organize and proceed with the entire process of the festival. This has the advantage of being able to reveal the central components required by the festival. In addition, this festival allows workers to inspire pride and pride in themselves because they are the hosts of the festival. These points consequently have an upward effect on increasing the completeness of the festival. The Gumi Foreign Workers Culture Festival is also a cultural venue for each country. It is a place where workers introduce various cultures of their own country, and participants breathe various cultures that experience each country's culture in the field. The biggest force that the Gumi Foreign Workers' Culture Festival can continue to date is that it best realizes the harmony of workers and the diversity of cultures it intends to express.
