「任相國父子三娶記」는 明나라 永樂皇帝의 寵臣이었던 任弘과 그의 아들 任子明이 각각 세 번의 결혼을 통해 가문을 興盛시킨 이야기를 중심으로 한 고전소설이다. ‘三娶’라는 結緣方式을 취하고 있으면서도 애정에 대한 구체적이고 다양한 서사가 전개되지 않는 까닭은, 이 작품이 임홍과 주운화를 始發點으로 하여 임씨가문의 盛衰를 다룬 家門 一代記的 性格을 指向하고 있기 때문이다. 「임상국부자삼취기」는 ‘中華貴人과의 結緣-신이한 존재(異物)와 結緣’이라는 고려 왕건신화 敍事構造를 借用하여 조선으로 移住한 朝鮮 任氏의 始祖 任山秋가 임씨가문의 유구한 전통과 훌륭한 혈통의 결과물임을 강조하고 있다. 또한 「임상국부자삼취기」는 국가와 민족이 다른 인물이 결연하여 중국과 조선으로 이주하며 살아가는 역동적인 모습이 보인다. 이는 孝 倫理와 家父長中心家族意識을 근간으로, 多文化 家庭에서 점차 多文化 家門으로 발전하는 모습을 보여주고 있는 작품이라는 측면에서 의의를 지니고 있다.
Abstract
「Imsanggukbujasamchwigi」 is a classical novel which is about Im Hong who was adored by Yeongnak Majesty in Myeong Dynasty and his son, Im Jamyeong. Both Im Hong and Im Jamyeong made properities of their family by three-times marriages each. This classical novel is formed by 'Three-times marriages', but it does not have a narration which is about complicated and various affection between main characters. The reason is that this novel deals with family's life story which begins with Im Hong and Ju Unhwa and includes rises and falls of Im's family. 「Im- sanggukbujasamchwigi」 brings the plot of The myth of Wang Geon in Goryeo Dynasty which is 'marriage with novels in China-an alien of mixed marriage'. Therefore, the story overemphasized Im Sanchu, the founder of Im's family in Chosun Dynasty who moved to Chosun is a result of eternal tradition and worthy lineage of Im's family. 「Imsanggukbujasamchwigi」 shows the story of people from different nations and races marry and move to China or Chosun. This is root of filial piety and a system of patriarchy. And this novel has significant meanings because it is the work which shows multicultural home becomes muliticultural family.
