부산 원도심에 위치한 영도는 국내에서 유일하게 하나의 섬이 구(區) 단위 행정구역으로 이루어져 있으며, 개항 이후 급격한 도시화과정 속에서 원도심의도시기능을 지원하며 함께 변화해 왔다. 영도는 원도심과 함께 발전하며 충분한 가치와 정체성이 누적되어 온 곳이지만, 오늘날에는 쇠퇴하여가치가 저평가되고 있다. 따라서 소외되어 있는 영도의 가치를 발견하여 정체성을 찾아가는 과정이 필요하며, 이를 위해 문화경관적 관점에서 영도 도시경관의 변천 과정을 분석하여 영도의 가치와 정체성을 찾아가는 방법론으로 연구를 진행하였다. 본 논문에서 정의하는 문화경관적 관점은 도시의물적 외관을 바라보는 일반 도시경관의 상위 개념으로, 지역의 정체성, 역사, 가치관 및 그에 따른 인간의행위까지 포함하는 개념이다. 즉 문화경관은 시대의가치관과 인간의 활동이 원동력이 되어 도시공간이변화한 과정의 누적이다. 이 연구의 목적은 영도의 문화경관적 특성 및 가치를 도출하려는 것이다. 영도의 문화경관적 특성 및가치는 다른 지역의 경관과 구별되는 영도만의 정체성 및 독자성을 의미하며, 미래 영도의 도시경관 변화 과정에도 지켜져야 할 최소한의 특성이다. 본 논문은 영도의 정체성을 보전하며 기존의 개발사업과는 다른 접근 방식으로 전환하기 위한 연구 자료로써활용될 것이다.
Abstract
Regarding Yeongdo, which is located in the original downtown in Busan, the island is uniquely one administrative district of which the unit is the Gu. And, ever since the opening of the port, within the process of the rapid urbanization, it has been changing together while supporting the urban function of the original downtown. Yeongdo grows together with the original downtown, however, nowadays it has been declining and getting undervalued, although it is a place that possesses the sufficient value and identity, Hence, Yeongdo needs the process of sharing the value and looking for the identity. And, for this, the research was proceeded with a methodology that analyzes the changes of the city scenery of Yeongdo from the cultural landscape viewpoint. The purpose of the research is to arrive at the special, cultural landscape characteristics and the values of Yeongdo. The special, cultural landscape characteristics and the values mean the identity and the independence which distinguish Yeongdo from the landscapes of the other regions. And they are the minimal, special characteristics that must be protected in the future changes of the city scenery of Yeongdo. This study preserves the identity of Yeongdo, and it will be utilized as a research material for converting into an approach method that is different from the existing development projects.
