Abstract

Kim, W.H., Kim, K.H., Lee, B.K., Kim, D.Y. The Decision of Load depending on the Aerobic Contribution of Ssirum Athletes in Wingate test. Exercise Science, 15(3) : 201-212, 2006. The purpose of this study was to research the standard for the decision of load in Wingate test by aerobic contribution of Ssirum Athletes during Wingate test. For the purpose, we measured anaerobic ability of 12 Ssirum athletes in 7.5%BW and 9.5%BW, VO2 during Wingate test and then calculated the mechanical efficacy . In addition, we divided into two groups by body fat(%) and compared the data to investigate the difference aerobic contribution by obesity. The results were as followed, 1. As the increasing of load(KP), PP, TW, MP and FI increased significantly(p<.05). 2. Aerobic contribution of Ssirum athletes in 9.5%BW was significantly lower than 7.5%BW(p<.05). 3. There was different tendency of change in aerobic contribution between normal group and obesity group(p<.05). 4. Even though normal group showed the higher decrease in aerobic contribution by increasing the load, in both group of 9.5%BW decreased aerobic contribution more than 7.5%BW(p<.05). Therefore we concluded that 9.5%BW might be suitable for Ssirum athletes including obesity athletes. In future study, for the various sports athletes, with the aerobic contribution in Wingate test depending to the characteristics of sports, time or load should be researched to modify for the measurement of the more actual anaerobic ability.
