Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is a clinical syndrome characterized by chest pain, transient left ventricular dysfunction, and specificelectrocardiographic changes induced by physical or emotional stress. We describe a rare case of this syndrome associated withacute mitral valve bacterial endocarditis in a young female.
