본 연구는 2014년 12월 13일부터 2019년 6월 27일까지 조사된 비닐봉지를 이용한 질식사망사건을토대로 보고하였다. 비닐봉지를 머리에 쓰고 사망한 다음의 사례는 현장에서 유서가 존재하였고, 다른 외력이 작용한 증거가 없었기 때문에 자살로 종결되었다. 그러나 드물게 사고사 또는 타살의 개연성도 높기때문에 현장조사에서 발견된 증거물과 비닐봉지의 형태, 외표검사에서 나타난 질식의 증상 등을 종합하여사망의 종류를 구분하고자 질식사례를 고찰하였다
Abstract
This study is based on the reported deaths of asphyxiation using plastic bags from December 13, 2014 to June 27, 2019. The following cases of death with the use of plastic bags on their head is similar to suicide cases for the reason that there was no evidence of foul play at the crime scene and there were no traces of evidence that there are other external forces acting. However, since the probability of accidental death or homicide is rare, asphyxiation cases were considered in order to classify the types of death by synthesizing the pieces of evidence found in the field of investigation, the shape of the plastic bag, and the indication of asphyxiation found in the external examination
