본 연구는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 외상 후 성장을 위한 요인을 규명하기 위해 Joseph, Murphy와Regel(2012)의 외상 후 정서-인지 처리 모델에 근거하여 가족탄력성, 적응적 인지정서조절전략, 삶의 의미, 외상후 성장 간의 구조적 관계를 검증하였다. 온·오프라인을 통해 전국 발달장애 자녀 어머니를 대상으로 설문조사를실시하였고, 최종 296부를 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 26.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과같다. 첫째, 가족탄력성, 적응적 인지정서조절전략, 삶의 의미, 외상 후 성장은 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 적응적 인지정서조절전략 및 삶의 의미 모두 가족탄력성과 외상 후 성장과의 관계에서 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 적응적 인지정서조절전략과 삶의 의미는 가족탄력성과 외상 후 성장과의 관계에서 순차적으로 매개효과를가지는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 외상 후 성장을 위해서는 가족탄력성과 적응적인지정서조절전략, 삶의 의미라는 내·외적 요인을 모두 고려한 통합적 접근의 필요성을 밝힘으로써 발달장애인 어머니를 위한 개인 및 가족상담과 부모교육의 근거를 제공하였다
Abstract
This study examined the structural relationships among family resilience, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies, meaning in life, and posttraumatic growth (PTG) in mothers of children with developmental disabilities. Based on the emotional- cognitive processing model of PTG (Joseph, Murphy, & Regel, 2012), a nationwide survey was conducted both online and offline, yielding 296 valid responses analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 26.0. The analysis result are as follows. First, significant relationships were observed among family resilience, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies, meaning in life, and PTG. Second, both adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and meaning in life mediated the relationship between family resilience and PTG. Third, a sequential mediating effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and meaning in life was identified in the relationship between family resilience and PTG. These findings highlight the importance of an integrative approach considering both internal and external factors to promote PTG in these mothers, providing a theoretical basis for individualized and family-based counseling and parent education programs
