Abstract
The Gaien in Meiji Jingu was built outwardly like a modern citizens space = park where it had provided with sports facilities and the stroll road such as the stadium and ballpark. However, to face facilities where various facilities in the Gaien symbolize the Meiji era and Emperor Mutsuhito, the spatial arrangement is set up. That is, it has a spatial composition that reveres modern tenno system to which both governments are symbolized by Emperor Mutsuhito with the people. The people participated in the form of voluntary cooperation named the donation and Kenkii(献木) by the process with which the Gaien of such a character was constructed. And, the donation and Kenkii(献木) have been expanded even to "New colony" such as not only "Naichi(内地)" but also Korea, Taiwan, Kanto states, and Kabafuto(樺太) and overseas Brothers. That is, shape to collect the loyalty of all "Subject" of "Empire Japan" in the construction of The Gaien is taken.
