교육대학교 학생의 창의성과 전뇌(Whole brain) 활용 성향의 관계

이 연구의 목적은 창의성에 영향을 미치는 전뇌 활용 성향을 분석하여 창의성 계발과 두뇌 향상 교육의 방향에 도움을 주기 위해 조사연구를 수행한 것이다. 연구문제로 교육대학교 학생의 전뇌 활용 성향, 대학생의 창의적 성격, 창의적 성격 지수에 영향을 미치는 전뇌 , 창의적 성격 지수의 하위요인과 관련한 전뇌의 영역을 알아보는 것으로 설정하였다. 이론적 배경으로 대뇌 반구 모델, 삼위일체두뇌모형, 전뇌 모형을 포함한 두뇌 사고 모델 및 창의성의 개념과 인지적 정의적 특성에 대해 알아보았다. 전뇌모형 성향 측정은 김경용의 석사논문에서 사용한 것으로 총60개의 문항이며 Cronbach's α는 .8317이었다. 창의적 성격은 한국적성검사연구소에서 표준화한 것으로 총100문항이며, Cronbach's α는 .76이었다. 연구결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들은 개인이 가지고 있는 창의적 성격 특징에 비해 창의성에 대한 심리적인 자기 자신에 대한 자신감이 낮아, 창의에 대한 자신감과 도전의식을 향상하는 교육프로그램이 필요하다. 둘째, 실험적인 우상뇌의 활용 빈도가 가장 낮아, 창의성 향상을 위하여 우상뇌의 활용 빈도를 높이는 교육 프로그램이 필요하다. 셋째, 잠재해 있는 창의성을 발현하기 위해서는 좌상뇌와 우상뇌의 활용 정도를 향상하며, 자발적으로 분석하고 깊이 탐색하는 좌상뇌의 기능과 도전하고 실험하는 우상뇌의 기능을 향상하는 교육이 필요하다. 넷째, 뇌를 고르게 활용하는 총체적 교육과정이 필요하다. 인간의 뇌는 사용할수록 기능이 향상되고 유연해지므로 적절한 시기에 4가지 뇌를 고루 활용하는 교육이 필요하다.
Abstract
This study aims at analyze how use of the whole brain affects the creativity to help develop the creatively and education to stimulate the brain. The research issues are tendency of use of the whole brain of college students, their creative personality, the whole brain type that affects the creative personality index, and areas of the whole brain related to subdivision factors of creative personality index. The theoretical backgrounds are brain thinking models and concepts of creativity and cognitive, non-cognitive properties including the cerebral hemispheric model, the triune brain model, and the whole brain model. To measure the whole brain model tendency, the model that Kyeongyong Kim used for his MA thesis and that includes the total sixty questions is applied. Cronbach's α is .8317. To measure the creative personality, the model standardized by Korea Aptitude Test Research Center is used, which includes 100 questions. Here, Cronbach's α is .76. The results are as follows: First, students show lower self-confidence on their creativity psychologically than their actual creative personality. Therefore, education programs to stimulate the self-confidence and challenge spirit are needed. Second, the degree of use of experimental upper right cerebral is lowest. Therefore, programs to improve uses of the upper right cerebral are needed to stimulate the creative mind. Third, to help stimulate the creativity hidden, uses of the upper right and left cerebrals must be improved. Therefore, educational programs to improve functions of the upper left cerebral that plays a role in analyzing exploring things spontaneously, and the upper right cerebral that does in challenging and testing are needed. Fourth, the comprehensive curriculum that requires the use of the whole brain is needed. Since a human brain becomes more active and more flexible as it is used more, the educational programs that help to simulate the four parts of the brain are needed in the proper period.
