초록
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of social bonding (attachment, involvement, participation, beliefs) of elementary and middle school students on cyber delinquency. The study was designed to investigate whether PC room use has a moderating effect on the relationships between these variables. To investigate the degree of social bonding of students, data was collected based on 232 elementary and middle school students residing in Seoul through a test on variables corresponding to degrees of Social Bonding and a test used to measure cyber delinquency. The collected data was statically analyzed using SPSS win 19.0. Statistical methods of frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis for hypothesis testing were conducted. The results of the analysis are as follows. 5) First, results of investigating the effects of social boding factors (attachment, involvement, participation, beliefs) on cyber delinquency showed belief to have a significant effect, in turn resulting in a partially significant result. Second, results of investigating whether PC room use as an effect on cyber delinquency showed that only belief had an effect on cyber delinquency. In the case of PC room use, it was not shown to have a significant effect on cyber delinquency. Third, results of investigating the effects of interactions between social bonding factors and PC room use on cyber delinquency showed that belief, PC room use, and interaction between belief and PC room use had a significant effect, indicating a partially moderating effect. Such results of the study suggest that for elementary and middle school students, beliefs (ethical consciousness) held by oneself, a social bonding factor, can be seen to have an effect on not only PC room use, but also on cyber delinquency. Accordingly, education must occur that improves ethical consciousness within such students at homes and schools from early ages in order to decrease cyber delinquency while caution must be placed on their use of PC rooms.
