하나의 건축물을 시공하는 과정에서부터 한 구역을 개발하는 과정에까지 매장문화재(埋藏文化財)가 발견된 경우가 적지 않다. 이러한 과정에서 발견되는 매장문화재의 발굴 및 보존은 개발과 대립적인 관계에 있다. 그렇기 때문에 개발당시 발견되는 문화재를 신고하지 않고 개발을 진행하는 경우도 적지 않다. 과거의 역사를 보존하는 것도 중요하지만 도시가 현재를 살아가는 사람들의 삶의 터전인 만큼 도시가 요구하는 기능 또한 적절히 수용해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 매장문화재를 보존하면서 활용한 국내·외 사례를 통하여 그 유형을 4가지로 분류하였고, 그 특징을 분석하여 장소별 상황에 맞는 유형으로 다시 세분하였다. 이를 통해 향후 개발과정에서 발견되는 매장문화재를 적극 활용하여 보존과 개발이 모두 상생할 수 있기를 기대한다.
Abstract
There is an antithesis between accidentally discovered buried culturalproperties excavation, preservation and development projects inprocesses of Rebuilding. Consequently, developers continue the manydevelopment project without report accidentally discovered buriedcultural properties in process of redevelopment. It is so important topreserve the history of the past in the city. But the development forthe city also important. Because the city have to achieverequirements of necessary function as the place of livelihood for people who currently living. The purpose of this study was to draw more efficient utilization methods of accidentally discovered buried cultural properties in process of redevelopment through the analysis and comparing of domestic and foreign cases to look for ways to settle when that kinds of problems conflict.
