18세기 중·후기 王室 資料의 ‘、’ 變化

18世紀 中後期는 ‘’가 非音韻化된 시기로 알려져 있지만, 이 시기 王室 資料인 英祖의 어졔와 正祖의 윤음에서는 ‘’가 非音韻化되었다고 할 수 없다. 어졔에는 非語頭 音節의 邊子音 뒤에서 ‘＞ㅡ’ 변화, 中子音 뒤에서 ‘ㅡ＞’ 변화가 주로 나타나지만, ‘’의 第1段階 變化도 완료되었다고 하기 어렵다. 語頭 音節에서 ‘ㅏ＞’ 변화 예가 한둘 보이지만, ‘＞ㅏ’ 변화 예는 보이지 않는다. 윤음에는 語頭 音節에서 ‘＞ㅏ’ 변화가 ‘ㅏ＞’ 변화와 함께 나타나 ‘’의 第2段階 變化가 進行되고 있었음은 보여주지만, 語彙的으로 많이 擴散된 상태는 아니었다. ‘’의 변화는 非語頭 音節에서는 ‘ㅡ＞’ 변화와 ‘＞ㅡ’ 변화, 語頭 音節에서는 ‘ㅏ＞’ 변화와 ‘＞ㅏ’ 변화가 相互作用하면서 진행된 것으로 보인다. 이러한 ‘’의 변화에는 形態素의 種類, ‘/ㅡ’의 音節 位置 및 先行 子音의 調音 位置 등의 言語的 變因이 관여하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
‘’ is thought to have dephonologized by the middle and late 18th century at the latest. However, it cannot be said that -dephonologi- zation process was completed in king Yeongjo's Eoje and king Jeongjo's Yuneum of the same period. In Eoje, ‘’ is changed to ‘’ when it comes after a consonant with [-grave] feature, and ‘’ is changed to ‘’ when it comes after a consonant with [+grave] feature, in syllables except the first. but it cannot be said that the first stage of ‘’ change was completed. There are a few examples of ‘＞a’ change in the second syllables, and ‘a＞’ change in the first syllable, but there is no example of ‘＞a’ change in the first syllable in either royal material. Examples of ‘＞a’ change in the first syllable are shown in Yuneum, but the change is not extensive. In the case of ‘＞’ change, less examples are shown in Yuneum than in Eoje, while ‘＞’ change is more widespread. Still, it cannot be said that the first stage of ‘’ change was completed in Yuneum, as it was being developed in the interactions between ‘＞’ change and ‘＞’ change, In effecting the ‘’ changes, the type of morphemes, the syllabic position of ‘’ or ‘’, and the [±grave] feature of the preceding consonant are the major linguistic factors.
