본 논문은 정보화의 진전이 고용에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 국가 수준의 분석 단위로써 거시적으로 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 우선 일반적인 기술혁신이 고용에 미치는 영향에 관한 이론들을 요약하였고 정보기술이 고용에 미치는 영향을 정리하였다. 국가수준의 분석단위로서 1995년부터 2005년 사이의 11년간의 42개국의 정보화 지수와 실업률 자료를 분석하였다. 분석방법으로서 횡단면시계열 분석을 적용하였다. 정보화와 실업률과의 관계를 보되 정보화지수와 다른 변수의 교차항을 모형에 추가하여 정보화와 실업률과의 관계에 영향을 주는 조건들을 찾아보고자 하였다. 조건변수로서 공교육비지출, 연구개발비, 노동쟁의 변수를 채택하였다. 분석결과 정보화지수와 공교육비의 교차항이 실업에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정보화지수와 노동쟁의 변수의 교차항이 실업을 높이는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the relations between Information indices and the unemployment rate. In order to investigate this goal, we summarized theories about the relationships between informatization and employment, and investigated the condition variables influencing the relationships. We collected world wide information indices by using NIA National Information White Paper(2006) and unemployment rates. The results are as follows. First, the relationship between the first interaction term(information indices × public education expenditure) and the unemployment rates is proved by LSDV(least squares dummy variable model) method(p<0.01). Second, the relationship between the third interaction term(information indices × labour trouble) and the unemployment rates is proved
