“ 賓貢”小考

Abstract

On “Bingong”“Bin Gong”(賓貢) was a way of the preferential treatment foreign examinee of Chinese Government after the Tang Dynasty. Because of shortage of the documents, there are a lot of different opinion about its exact meaning, its necessary order and the way of announce the result of the examination. On the solid foundation of historical materials of China, Korea and Japan, this thesis point out that the “Bin Gong”was belong to the “Jin Shi”(進士)examination but test along. The examination system of Tang, Song and Goryeo Dynasty were inherit the legacy from generation to generation, so we could use the documents of the Song and Goryeo Dynasty to reason out the situation in the Tang Dynasty.
