Abstract

In the view point of Confucian scholar, getting the property is a right of a person as a matter of course, provided that there is the justice existing at that society. At that circumstances you can also get any property through working hard even if that job is so humble. Confucius prohibited getting rich with the injustice method. He would rather be a poor man who enjoying the truth than live in clover as using his illegal fortune. A wealthy man will be arrogant to the other people, and on the contrary the poor will have a grievance against the society. But if the society has the justice, you can enjoy the truth. In the past time, the poor but honest living of classical scholars is also influenced by this kind of interpretation, and the origin is going back to Confucius. The community of modern times is an era of rule of right, so in this environment it is all right to accumulate the wealth but on the assumption that you must get it by fair means.
