한･일 관용표현 대조고찰 —住관련 어휘를 중심으로—

Abstract

In this study, the characteristics of Korean and Japanese was analyzed by comparing the aspects of the materials(House-Related Words) and the semantic features of the housing-related idioms. Those materials from the idioms were sorted into 5 categories. In the compositional aspect, the number of collected idioms was 112 in Korean language, and there were 102 in Japanese. The types of materials that were found were 65 in Korean, while Japanese idioms had 41. It showed the number of Korean idiomatic expressions and types of materials was higher than those in Japanese. But there was no common idioms that were using「Jib/Ie」itself. The resemblance of meanings and the way of expression in those idioms was very low, except there were a few related to「Migung･Anbang/Mikyuu･Omoya」and「Byeok/Kabe」 (8 idioms) and 「Mun/Mong」(7 idioms). In Korean,「Jib」-related materials were commonly used. On the other hand, in Japanese, the expressions using「Ie」were noticeably developed. When the underlying meanings of the idioms were looked into, the negative meanings such as ‘hardship’ or ‘financial difficulty’ were prominent when using「Jib」and 「Ondol･Gidung･Munteok」 in Korean. Especially the negative aspect of words was expanding and being stressed like 「Munteok」,meaning ‘frustration/setbacks’, and「Byeok･Dam」, implying ‘cut off’. In Japanese idioms, meanwhile,「Ie」meant ‘a good wife’ and 「Kabe･Sikii」 had a basic meaning of ‘cut off and difficulty’. They did not show any reinforcement of meanings of materials, although there were idioms conveying negative meanings.
