초록
The edition of Buljowonlyu, published in 1764 by Saam-Chaeyoung at Songgwangsa in Jeonju, is in circulation. This paper analyzed the bibliography and contents of different version(異本) of Buljowonlyu stored in Gyujanggak, which has the same book name but different composition and contents. This book is a manuscript, and the author and date of compilation are confirmed in the Preface and Epilogue of So Dong-shik and Lee Ho in 1753. This book was compiled around 1753 by Toeeun Deung-o(or Hwanheo Deung-o), a disciple of Sangwol Saebong, the 5th generation of Cheongheo, and his life and activities are unknown. This book was composed in the order of Preface, Epilogue, Chilbul(the Seven Buddhas), Seocheon-josa(Seon masters in India), Junghwa-josa, and Haedong-josa. Seocheon-josa is from the third master Mahākāśapa to the 28th master Bodhidharma. In the Junghwa-josa, the 28th master of the Seocheon-josa, Bodhidharma, is the first master, and the 6th master is Hui Neng(慧能). Following this, starting with Nanyue Huairang(南嶽懐譲), a disciple of Hui Neng, and finally, Shiwu Qinggong(石屋清珙) and Pingshan Chulin(平山處林), who were the disciple of Jian Zongxin(及庵宗信), recorded a total of 30 people. Toe-eun Compiled Buljowonlyu(Hereinafter, Toeunbon) and Saam Compiled Buljowonlyu(Hereinafter, Saambon) are the same in the order of the seven Buddhas and the name of Buddha, but there are some differences. Regarding Seocheon-josa, there are differences in the Chinese characters for the master name, place of birth, and year of death. The following is Haedong-josa, which records the disciples of Naong Hyegeun(懶翁惠勤) and Taego Bowu(太古普愚). Then, the disciples of Cheongheo Hyujeong(淸虛休靜) and Buhyu Seonsu(浮休善修) were recorded in rotation by generation. Haedong-josa contains 2,182 people in total, including 186 disciples of Naong Hyegeun and Taego Bowu, 1,551 people of Cheongheo line, and 445 people of Buhyu line. Comparing the Toeunbon and the Saambon, it is confirmed that the names of the masters are missing from each other. Summarizing the above, Toeunbon and Saambon are separate editions, and it is presumed that the later published Saambon was compiled by referring to Tooeunbon.
