전국시대 연나라 도읍인 계현은 연하도 유적, 수성 유적 등의 고고학적인 성과와 문헌의 기록 등에 근거하여 지금의 중국 하북성 보정시 역현에 위치한 연하도로 밝혀졌다. 갈석산은 고대 중국의 국가와 동이계열 국가의 경계를 가르는 기준이 되었던 산으로 장성유적과 갈석산 앞에 세워졌다는 황금대 유적, 중국의 고대문헌에 기록된 내용 등을 검토한 결과 역현 인근에 위치한 태항산맥의 최북단인 백석산이라는 사실을 밝혀낼 수 있었다. 갈석산에서 발원하여 계현을 감싸고 흐른다는 요수는 백석산에서 발원하여 역현을 감싸고 흐르는 거마하로 추정하였고, 보정시 역현의 남쪽에 위치한 서수현 수성진에는 연장성의 흔적과 수성의 유적이 남아있어서 이 곳을 낙랑군 수성현의 흔적으로 추정할 수 있었다. 살펴본 결과 계현, 갈석산, 요수의 위치가 요녕성이나 하북성 북부가 아닌 하북성의 중부나 남부지역에 있었음이 확인되었다. 이들의 위치를 확인함으로써 한국의 연구자들이 고조선이나 고구려의 영역을 과도하게 축소하여 인식하는 경향이 있다는 사실 역시 파악할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Jixian (薊縣), the capital of Yan in Warring Country Period proved to be the place corresponding to the current Yanxiadu (燕下都) at Yixian (易縣) in Hebei Province of China as a result of reviewing the archaeological survey and literature record on remains of Yanxiadu or Suicheng. Galseoksan (碣石山) is the mountain serving the boundary between the ancient Chinese countries and Dong Yi countries. Galseoksan (碣石山) was able to uncover the fact that it was Baishi-Mountain, the northernmost of Taihang-Mountain (太行山脈), located near Yixian, after examining the remains of the Great Wall, Huangjintai ruins erected in front of Galseoksan (碣石山), and the contents recorded in ancient Chinese literature. Liaoshui (遼水) originates from Baishi Mountain (白石山) and is estimated to be Jumahe (拒馬河), which flows around Yixian (易縣). Also, because of the remains of the Great Wall of Yan and the Suicheng (遂城) Ruins in the Suichengzhen (遂城鎭) at Xushuixian (徐水縣) in the south of Yixian (易縣), this place ould be presumed as Naklanggun (樂浪郡) Suichengxian (遂城縣). According to the review, Jixian (薊縣), Gaiseoksan (碣石山) and Liaoshui (遼水) were situated at the central or southern part of Hebei Province, not the north of Hebei Province or Liaoning Province. Through the confirmation of their locations, we imagine that the Korean researchers tend to underestimate the territory of Gojoseon (古朝鮮) or Goguryeo (高句麗).
