이 연구는 청소년 갈등해결프로그램의 효과를 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구대상은 청소년 갈등해결 리더십캠프에 참여한 중학생 30명이었다. 갈등해결 프로그램의 효과분석에는 갈등해결 유형변화와 갈등해결기초능력 변화를 알아보기 위한 척도와 문항이 사용되었다. 조사를 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 갈등해결프로그램은 청소년의 협력적인 갈등해결유형 수준을 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 공격적인 갈등해결유형 수준과 회피적인 갈등해결유형 수준에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 청소년 갈등해결프로그램이 부정적 갈등해결 유형인 공격유형과 회피유형의 수준에는 영향을 미치지 않지만, 긍정적 갈등해결 유형인 협력유형의 수준을 강화시키는데 효과가 있다는 점을 시사한다. 둘째, 갈등해결프로그램은 갈등해결기초능력을 유의미하게 증가시켰고, 특히 의사결정능력에 있어서 유의미한 향상을 가져왔다. 이 결과는 갈등해결프로그램이 갈등해결기초능력을 전반적으로 향상시킬 수 있다는 점을 시사한다. 마지막으로, 이 연구결과들이 갖는 시사점 및 제한점이 논의되었다.
Abstract
The goal of this study was to analyze the effects of Youth Conflict Resolution Program(YCRP). The objectives were 1) to analyze the effects on the Conflict Resolution Styles(CRS) of YCRP, 2) to analyze the effects on the Conflict Resolution Basic Skills(CRBS) of YCRP, and 3) to draw implications for youth conflict resolution strategy, program, and continuous researches. CRS Scale was consisted of 15 items(per 5 items on compromise style, attactive style, and avoidance style). And CRBS Scale was consisted of 18 items(per 3 items on conflict understanding, self identification, human relationship, communication, problem solving, and decision making skill). Data were collected from 29 middle school students who were all participated in YCRP Leadership Camp(22-24 July, 2005). The SPSS program for windows was used to analyze the data for this study. The statistical method employed in this study was paired sample t-test. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. YCRP had positive effects on compromise style only in the CRS and had no effects on attactive and avoidance style. 2. YCRP had positive effects on conflict basic skills. 3. Therefore it is need to develop and give opportunities for participation in YCRP. And continuous research activities should be conducted for more advanced and practical YCRP.
