초기청소년 자살생각의 변화유형분류와 예측

초록

본 연구의 목적은 청소년 자살생각의 변화양상에 따라 집단을 나누고 분류된 각 집단과 청소년의 심리․사회적 변인 사이의 관련성을 알아보는 것이다. 한국 청소년 패널 초등학교 4학년 패널 1-5차년도 자료를 이용하여 초등학교 4학년 청소년이 중학교 1학년이 되기까지 자살생각 변화에 대해 Nagin의 집단기반 모형(group based models) 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 청소년 자살생각은 종단적 변화에 따라 ‘저수준 유지집단’, ‘증가집단’, ‘중간수준집단’의 세 집단으로 분류할 수 있었고, 남자에 비해 여자인 경우, 자아존중감과 자기통제력이 낮을수록, 부모자녀관계가 부정적이고 가정에서 폭력경험이 많을수록, 심한 학업압박을 받거나 왕따 경험이 있는 청소년 일수록 자살생각이 높거나, 증가하는 집단에 속할 확률이 높았다. 이러한 연구결과는 청소년 정신건강을 예측하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며 청소년 상담 및 지도에 적용 가능한 지침을 제공한다.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to identify groups (i.e. latent classes), depending on the developmental trajectory of adolescents' suicidal ideation, and testing the effects of psycho‐social variables on determining these latent classes. In order to do this, group based modeling based on the work of Nagin was performed using data harvested from the Korean Youth Panel Survey. Our results revealed that three latent classes were identified, which could be defined as follows; a low‐level group, a increasing from low‐ to middle‐level group, and a middle‐level group. Multinomial logit analysis indicated that gender, self‐esteem, self‐control, the parent‐child relationship, domestic violence, study stress, and experience of being a victim of bulling were all significant determinants of the latent classes. From these research findings, it is suggested that more sophisticated interventions for adolescent groups with different developmental trajectories should be designed.
