In the study of normal (complex analytic) surface singu-larities, it is interesting to investigate the invariants. The purpose ofthis paper is to give a characterization of the vanishing of δ₂. In [11],we gave characterizations of minimally elliptic singularities and rationaltriple points in terms of the second plurigenera δ₂ and γ₂. In this paper, we also give a characterization of rational triple points in terms of acertain computation sequence. To prove our main theorems, we give twoformulae for δ₂ and γ₂ of rational surface singularities.
Abstract
