Abstract
We establish a link between the study of completely integrablesystems of partial differential equations and the study of genericsubmanifolds in C^n. Using the recent developments ofCauchy-Riemann geometry we provide the set of symmetries of such asystem with a Lie group structure. Finally we determine theprecise upper bound of the dimension of this Lie group for somespecific systems of partial differential equations.
