초록
This study was to investigate the relationship between body configuration and manual performance. It was hypothesized that the change of body configuration could have any effect on the human task performance. It has also been proposed that there are three kinds of constraints that determine the optimal pattern of coordination of a given organism; organismic, environmental, and task constraints. In order to study this phenomenon, five healthy subjects were participated in this research. They were asked to tap the keyboard at a constant rate and with a constant force on the forceplate. While doing the tapping task, such variables as the body angles, the ground reaction forces, interval variability, and peak force variability were used to examine the topological relations. The results showed the change of postural configuration had some effects on manual control performance. Subjects tended to adjust their body configuration as the distance of manual workspace was varied and the performances were influenced by the change of body configuration. The performance variable, interval variability and peak force variability, represented the different characteristics with the changes of heights and locations of object.
