초록
Pu-erh tea, a world-famous tea, has many health-benefit properties including anti-oxidant, anti-cancer and anti-obesity properties. This study aimed to investigate the pharmacological effect of Pu-erh tea on atopic dermatitis (AD) in vivo and in vitro. We investigated the effects of Pu-erh tea on 2, 4-dinitrochlrobenzene (DNCB)-induced AD clinical symptoms in mice. Additionally, we evaluated the effects of Pu-erh tea on the inflammatory cytokine production and nuclear factor-κB (NF-kB) activation in HaCaT cells. The findings demonstrated that Pu-erh tea improved the AD clinical symptoms, such as erythema, skin dryness, eczematous, and inhibited the serum levels of histamine and IgE in DNCB-induced AD model. Moreover, Pu-erh tea attenuated the inflammatory cytokine production and NF-kB activation in HaCa T cells. Collectively, this result suggests that Pu-erh tea could be used as a therapeutic agent for AD treatment.
