Abstract

Thirty years have passed since the successful reform was launched by the Chinese leadership. The Chinese people managed to get out of the misery and extreme poverty. The rise of income level in China generated the change in the social structure and the rise of middle and upper class. The ensuing change in the attitudes and behaviors of the people make people think the money first. This process was accelerated by the increase of mobile phone and internet subscribers, increasing issuance of credit cards and rapid decrease of illiteracy. The negative side of this process was more apparent in the rise of crime rate and the increasing gap between rich and poor. The collective action of social actors became more violent.
