일부지역여성의 한약투여후 골밀도변화에 대한 환자-대조군 연구- 강원도 홍천군지역을 중심으로 -

2005년도 홍천군보건소의 한방건강증진 HUB보건사업중 지역특성화사업 목적으로 진행된 한약투여후 골밀도 변화를 알아보기 위하여 총 76명을 대상으로 3개월동안 진행된 환자-대조군 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 3개월의 실험기간중 대조군의 골밀도가 -2.17± 0.93 T-score에서 -0.57± 1.05 T-score로 한약투여군이 -2.53± 0.64 T-score에서 -0.55± 0.85 T-score로 모두 상승하였으나 군간의 유의한 차이는 없었다(P＞0.968). 그러나 골밀도의 증가 경향을 실험기간별로 볼때 한약투여 1개월간이 대조군에 비하여 유의하게 높았으며(P<0.05), 투여 2.3개월은 일정한 증가경향이 있으나 큰 차이는 없었다. 따라서 1개월간 한약 복용이 효과적으로 보이며 2,3개월 복용한다고 해서 대조군에 비해서 크게 효과적이지 않았다. 결과적으로 한약복용초기에는 골밀도 증가에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 보이나 중장기적으로는 크게 효과적이지 않다고 할 수 있다. 앞으로 이와 관련된 다양한 형태의 역학연구설계를 통하여 좀 더 신뢰성이 있는 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of female's Bone Mineral Density after taking herbal medicine. We examined age, sex, marriage, alcohol, smoking, and job of 76 female and their life style related with Osteoporosis. Bone Mineral Density was examined after 1 month (one herbal medicine), 2 months (two herbal medicine), and 3 months (three herbal medicine) between GroupⅠ(taking pear extract) and Group Ⅱ(taking herbal medicine). Bone Mineral Density of GroupⅡ after 1 month was increased, but insignificant. Bone Mineral Density was not significantly different between the GroupⅠ and Group Ⅱ after 2 and 3 months. In this study, we can conclude that Bone Mineral Density was increased after 1 month of taking herbal medicine. But we had inaccurate results due to limitations of this study: period of test, accuracy of instrument, impossibility of use young antlers of the deer, and etc. More detailed study should be conducted to yield more concrete results.
