흉통을 호소하는 환자에 대한 접근법

초록
흉통은 다양한 장기의 다양한 병리적 변화로 유발되는 증상으로서 흉통에 대해 접근할 때 많은 질환들에 대한 고려가요구된다. 가장 큰 문제점은 진단이 지연되면 위중해질 수있는 치명적인 질환들이 포함되어 있는 증상군이므로 먼저중증응급 질환 여부를 신속하고 확실하게 밝혀낸다는 자세로 진료에 임해야 한다. 흉부-복부 CT 촬영이 가능한 환경에서는 감별진단에 많은 도움을 받을 수 있으며, 중증응급 질환이 확인되거나 진단이 모호한 경우에는 신속히 상급기관으로 이송하여 적절한 처치를 받도록 해야 한다.
