본 논문은 위기에 직면한 한국 교회의 상황 속에서 특별히 가정의 언약적 순결의 중요성을 부각시킨다. 실제로 한국 교회 안에 가정의 언약적 순결의 상실은 한국 교회의 윤리적 위기를 가속화시키고 있음은 의심의 여지가 없다. 있다. 그리스도에게 있어서 가정이란 하나님의 언약 안에서 이루어진 결혼을 통해 시작되며, 자녀들을 언약의 말씀으로 양육함으로써 하나님의 목적을 구현한다. 나아가 그리스도인들은 언약 안에서 체결되는 결혼 제도를 통해 언약의 자녀를 양육하여 가정의 언약적 순결을 지켜야 할 책임을 지고 있다. 그러므로 그리스도인들의 가정의 언약적 순결이 전제되지 않고서는 한국 교회의 갱신을 기대하기는 어려울 것이다. 하지만 세속화의 영향이 더욱 가속되고 있는 21세기의 상황 속에서 한국 교회가 가정의 언약적 순결을 점차 상실해 가고 있음은 안타까운 일이 아닐 수 없다. 이와 같은 가정의 위기 속에서 본 논문은 가정의 언약적 의미를 강조하는 말 2:10-16의 메시지에 집중할 것이며, 특별히 이 본문에 나타난 중요한 신학적 의미에 관심을 기울일 것이다. 나아가 이 본문의 메시지가 어떻게 한국 교회의 상황 속에서 적용될 수 있는지를 고찰해 볼 것이다.
Abstract
The focus of this paper is to deal with Malachi 2:10-16 by looking at a hostile attack against the family and against the institution of marriage in the Korean Church. Over the past decades, the Korean Church has been overwhelmed by the profane of the marriage covenant since a number of Christians have been involved in marriage with unbelievers and adultery. It is important to note that Malachi 2:10-16 argues that the marriage covenant plays a significant role in the Christian community. He deals with a situation where a number of men got rid of their Hebrew wives and married pagan women. He warns that those who willfully violate the covenant of a marriage will face the punishment of God. In particular, Malachi strongly condemns intermarriage with pagan women which gave the occasion for the divorces. He makes it clear, furthermore, that divorce and remarriage to pagan women violates the law of God and hinders producing godly children. It is his conclusion, therefore, that God's people must marry within the faith and give all diligence to keep the marriage covenant. In this sense, there is no doubt that the message of Malachi 2:10-16 has implications for Korean Christians who fail to keep the marriage covenant that God has made with them.
