Abstract
The development of cementless-based shotcrete can be an economical and eco-friendly technology in terms of replacing Portland cement. However since the cementless-based shotcrete uses activators for hydroponic reactions, its mechanical properties may vary depending on the chemical composition of the raw material, the type of activator, and addition amount of the activator. Also, the quality as an industrial by-product is not homogeneous and is not easy to handle. In this paper, a mechanical evaluation was performed through an mixing experiments to evaluate the applicability of cementless shotcrete as a low-strength material for shotcrete on the cut slope that does not have structural strength. As a result, the property evaluation results of the eco-friendly three-component binder combination furnace slag:fly ash:silica fume combination (4:4:2) and (7:2:1). The combination (4:4:2) showed limitations in early strength expression but the combination (7:2:1) were confirmed the possibility of early strength expression.
