손 마사지가 혈액투석 중인 환자의 피로, 스트레스 및 우울에 미치는 효과

초록

본 연구는 손 마사지가 혈액투석 중인 환자의 피로, 스트레스, 우울에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전후설계를 이용한 유사실험 연구이다. 본 연구의 대상은 만성신부전 진단을 받고 외래를 통해 인공신장센터에서 혈액투석 치료를 받고 있는 환자에게 손 마사지 중재를 시행한 실험군 25명과 중재를 하지 않은 대조군 25명이었다. 실험군에게 시행한 손 마사지 횟수와 기간은 일주일에 3번씩, 4주간 베이비오일을 이용하여 적용하였다. 자료수집기간은 2013년 8월 26일부터 10월 5일까지 이었으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 WIN 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, χ2-test, t-test로 분석하였다. 그 결과 손 마사지가 혈액투석을 받고 있는 환자의 피로(t=-3.72, p=.001)와 스트레스(t=-4.08, p<.001)를 감소시키는 효과가 있음을 확인하였으나 우울(t=1.07, p=.290)은 효과가 없음을 확인하였다. 그러므로 간호사는 임상현장에서 혈액투석을 받고 있는 환자에게 피로와 스트레스를 줄일 수 있는 간호중재로 활용할 수 있으리라 생각된다.

Abstract

In this paper was to identify the effects of hand massage on the fatigue, stress and depression in patients undergoing hemodialysis. The quasi-experimental study was designed with a non-equivalent control group pre-post test. Research participants were assigned to a treatment group (n=25) and a control group (n=25). Treatment was hand massage 5 minutes each time, three times a week for four weeks. The data was collected from August 26 to October 5 in 2013. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test,χ2-test, and using SPSS 21.0 program. Fatigue(t=-3.72, p=.001) and stress(t=-4.08, p<.001) were decreased significantly but depression was statistically insignificant(t=1.07, p=.290) in the treatment group. These findings suggest that hand massage had a positive effect on fatigue and stress in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Therefore, hand massage is needed to continuously be applied to patients undergoing hemodialysis.
