치위생과 학생의 신체이미지와 자아존중감이 진로탐색효능감에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 치위생과 학생을 대상으로 신체이미지와 자아존중감이 진로탐색효능감에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 진로의식에 따른 신체이미지, 자아존중감, 진로탐색효능감은 전공만족도에 따라서 신체만족, 자아존중감, 진로탐색효능감에 차이가 있었고, 학과가 적성에 따라서 자아존중감과 진로탐색효능감에 차이가 있으며 희망 취업기관과 취업성공 결정요인에 따라서 진로탐색효능감에 차이가 있었다. 열등적 자아존중감을 제외하고 신체이미지, 자아존중감, 진로탐색효능감의 하위요인은 서로 양의 상관관계가 있으며 신체만족, 외모지향, 우월적 자아존중감이 높을수록 진로탐색효능감이 높았다. 따라서 학생들의 올바른 가치관 확립을 통한 진로결정을 위하여 다양한 방향성을 제시할 필요가 있다. 또한, 여러 가지 진로 지원 프로그램을 활용하여 외적인 면모와 더불어 자신에 대한 긍정적인 가치관을 향상시켜서 적극적이고 효율적인 진로탐색을 도모하여야 할 것이다.

Abstract

This study has examined the influence of body image and self-esteem on career search efficacy, targeting dental hygiene-course students, and the results are like below. Regarding body image, self-esteem, and career search efficacy in accordance with career consciousness, there were differences in body satisfaction, self-esteem, and career search efficacy depending on the satisfaction with major. In accordance with the suitability of department and aptitude, self-esteem and career search efficacy showed differences while there were also differences in career search efficacy depending on determination factors of job desired and success in getting a job. Except for inferior self-esteem, the sub-factors of body image, self-esteem, and career search efficacy had positive correlations with each other. When body satisfaction, appearance-orientation, and superior self-esteem were high, the career search efficacy was also high. Thus, it would be necessary to suggest diverse directions for career decision through the establishment of students' correct values. Also, more active and efficient career search should be promoted by improving positive values on their appearance and themselves through the use of diverse career support programs.
