의예과 학생들의 학제간 융합연구 과정 참여 효과

학제간 융합은 주요한 시대적 흐름으로, 의과대학에서도 융합역량을 갖춘 인재 육성을 위한 교육이 강조되고 있다. 이를 위해 의과대학에서는 학부생들을 융합 연구에 참여시키고자 하는 노력이 계속되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 의과대학 2곳의 의예과 학생들을 대상으로 학제간 융합연구 집단, 의학연구 집단, 연구 미참여 집단에 따라 연구효능감, 연구흥미, 대학생활 만족도와 전공만족도에 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 또한 융합연구과정에 대한 학생 성찰일지의 질적분석을 통하여 학제간 융합연구가 의예과 학생들에게 갖는 의미를 통합적으로 알아보았다. 그 결과, 학제간 융합연구 참여 학생이 다른 두 집단에 비해 생활만족도가 낮았다. 학제간 융합연구 참여 학생이 연구 효능감이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 하위 요인 중 통계분석, 결과기술, 연구윤리 요인에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 질적분석 결과, 학제간 융합연구 참여 학생들의 경험에서 나타난 본질적 주제는 학제간 융합연구과정에 대한 인식, 효과, 요구의 3가지였고, 드러난 주제는 13가지로 분류되었다. 본 연구가 의학연구 프로그램을 개발하고 활성화하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of research efficacy, research interests, university life satisfaction, and major satisfaction among the three groups; interdisciplinary convergence research, medical science research and non-research course, targeting premedical students. This study also analyzed the effect of participation in interdisciplinary convergence research using qualitative methods. As a result, students who participated in interdisciplinary convergence research had lower life satisfaction than the other two groups. They showed the highest score of research self-efficacy, and there were significant differences in the data analysis, result presentation, and research ethics which are sub-factors of research efficacy. Three essential theme and thirteen subjects were analyzed in the reflective essays. The three essential themes were recognition, effect and demand for interdisciplinary convergence research. We hope that this study will contribute to the development and activation of research program for medical students.
