Abstract
Given a non-Haken, non Seifert bred manifold we describe an algorithm thattakes 2 (not necessarily distinct) Heegaard surfaces and produces a complex with certainuseful properties (Properties 5.1). Our main tool is Rubinstein and Scharlemann’s Cerftheoretic work ([5]).
