Abstract

Filmmakers are the people who obsessively modulate their styles to create their own visions. As Gombrich has observed, sometimes new and improved styles are the results from pure artistic passion that satisfies the filmmakers who overpass their colleagues. On the center of their efforts to find out any creative style on the conventional filmic schema, so called ‘Making Frame up’ is placed. We know that framing is the basic part of the process of film making and writing shooting script. Movie going is not less than making a look at the frame that has four sharp sides. In the movie theater, The audience are supposed to watch the image surrounded by darkness. They can not easily expand their visual field to the outside of the frame. However, if they only find the ‘frame making up’ made by the director in the movie, the audience start mental speculation by themselves to understand the meaning of the frame, not only inside, but outside as well. Frame making up gets the final effects by concealing and revealing the meaning of the image. And they are the very important dramatic tools for the narrative construction too.
