Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of inpatient cardiac rehabilitation(CR) program on the number of readmission, length of hospital stay and total medical costs. Subjects randomly assigned to Experimental group(CR, n=60) and control group(Non-CR, n=51). The inpatient CR program was included with breathing exercise, early gait, stair exercise and education about risk factor to preventing recurrent. And we follow up after discharged for 2 years. Our result demonstrated that the Experimental group effectively decreased number of readmission, length of hospital stay and medical cost(<0.05). These mean that Inpatient CR program considered as one of effective interventions to decrease the number of readmission, length of hospital stay and medical costs in patient with coronary artery bypass graft.
