본 연구는 정규직과 비정규직의 건강상태 차이가 비정규직의 미흡한 직무 여건에 근거한 것일 수 있음에 주목하여, 고용 형태에 따른 건강 격차와 직무 만족도의 관련성을 분석, 검토하고자 하였다. 연구문제에 대한 구체적인 분석에는 한국노동패널조사 17차년도(2014년도) 개인용 및 가구용 데이터를 결합한 자료를 활용하였다. 데이터 분석결과에서는 비정규직과 정규직간에는 신체 건강에의 유의미한 차이와 함께 비정규직일수록 제반 직무 여건들에 대한 직무 만족도가 유의미하게 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 다중회귀분석 결과에서는 비정규직 근로는 건강상태에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었고, 직무만족 요소들의 매개효과 분석에서는 정규직과 비정규직의 건강 차이에는 직무만족 요인들의 유의미한 관련성을 검증할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 분석결과는 비정규직 근로의 부정적인 건강 영향이 만족스럽지 못한 직무여건(보수, 근로시간, 직장내 관계, 인사 공정성 등)에도 기초한 것임을 의미하는 바로, 고용형태간 건강불평등 완화를 위해서는 비정규직의 직무만족도 향상과 관련한 직무여건 개선의 정책적 함의를 제기하여 준다.
Abstract
In this paper, we investigate context of the effects of contingent employment on the health, focusing on the mediating role of job satisfaction factors. Using the ‘Korean Labor Income Panel Study Data: KLIPS(2014), we estimate health difference and job satisfactions between permanent workers and temporary workers. And then, we analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction factors in the negative health effects of contingent employment. Results of these analysis have revealed that there are significant differences in both physical health and work conditions between temporary workers and permanent workers. The results from the mediating effects analysis show that the negative health effect of the contingent employment would be connected to the vulnerable working conditions. Job satisfaction factors have significant mediating effects on the health disparity between temporary workers and permanent workers. Results of this study suggest that temporary work protective policies are required so as to reduce the health inequality between temporary and permanent work in Korea. And, there should be required to alleviate negative recognition and stigma of contingent employment to the whole society.
