본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 시간제 일자리 선택 및 근로시간 연장의향 결정요인을 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 한국장애인고용공단 고용개발원이 2013년에 실시한 장애인 경제활동 실태조사 원자료 중 임금근로자 1,540명을 로지스틱회귀모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 성별, 연령, 교육, 직업경력, 국민기초생활 수급, 장애 등 노동공급 측면의 요인들이 장애인의 시간제 일자리 선택 가능성에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 연령대 전체를 볼 때 시간제 일자리를 선택할 가능성은 U자형 양상을 보였다. 기업의 산업과 규모 등 노동수요 측면의 요인들도 장애인의 시간제 고용 가능성에 영향을 주었다. 또한 고학력 장애인의 경우 현재보다 근로시간을 더 늘리기를 원하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study is to examine factors influencing decisions of people with disabilities to accept part time work and to prefer working more hours. The empirical analysis draws on the data from a random sample of 1,540 workers with disabilities out of the Survey of Economic Activity Status for the Disabeld in 2013 conducted by the Employment Development Institution of Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. Base on the results from a binary logistic regression analysis, the author find that labor supply side factors such as gender, age, education, professional career, national basic living security pension and disability are the significant determinants of part time work of people with disabilities. The relation between part time work and age is U-shaped for people with disabilities. Factors of labor demand such as industrial type and scale of business are the significant determinants of part time employment of people with disabilities. Also, highly educated persons with disabilities are more likely to prefer to work more hours compare to those who finish a middle school.
