시게모리 미레이가 창안한 일본 가레산스이(枯山水) 정원 양식의 진화양상

Abstract

A total of 26 gardens were studied in this study with the aim of revealing how the Karesansui garden evolved through the intentional method applied to the gardens of Shigemori Mirei. The research method analyzed the gardens by dividing them into introductory elements, whether plants were used, the properties of plants, spaces using plants, the use of water, the type of water, and the space where water was introduced, and then compared them to examine the changes in the patterns of time. In addition, by selecting various alpine water gardens created after Muso Soseki as the subject of comparative research according to the trend of the times and conducting research, we tried to find out what kind of flow the alpine water garden changed and what kind of pattern it changed by Shigemori Mirei. As a result, it can be said that Shigemori Mirei achieved the evolution of the Karesansui garden style, the fusion of the Karesansui garden and the Chisen garden, and the modernization of the Japanese garden. It can be seen that the evolution and modernization of the garden style achieved by Shigemori Mirei was supported by a thorough investigation and analysis of the traditional style.
