어기조사 ‘啊’의 音變 처리상의 문제 및 교육 - 회화교재를 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show how ‘A(啊)’ is processed in the conversation books currently being used. After having selected the 103 conversation books, I analyzed and categorized the books into 3types in terms of the phonetic variants of modal particle ‘A(啊)’ and the character using problem. Of these, I selected the 50 books having the 10 or more examples of ‘A(啊)’ and classified the problem caused from the usage the modal particle ‘A(啊)’. First, of the 50 books, there are 1121 sentences containing ‘A(啊)’, of which, many sentences fail to use ‘A(啊)’ and ‘Ya(呀)’ appropriately. Particularly, the problem associated with ‘Ya(呀)’ is more serious than that of ‘A(啊)’. The case is so serious that it reached 24.6%. According to the result, I suppose that ‘Ya(呀)’ escapes from the scope of ‘A(啊)’ and shows a tendency of being used as a similar position of ‘A(啊)’. Second, from the result of the comparison between the books written by other authors as well as the same author, usages of ‘A(啊)’, ‘Ya(呀), Wa(哇), and Na(哪)’ are very inconsistent without explanation how to use ‘A(啊)’. I conducted the survey to reveal in which way students understand and use the phonetic variant ‘A(啊)’ and the character using problem. As a result, most of the students do not understand the phonetic variant ‘A(啊)’　and the character using problem properly, following the habitual ways they used to pronounce. Consequently, my opinion, as follows: When writers write a book, the best way might be to distinguish the usage of ‘A(啊)’, ‘Ya(呀), Wa(哇), and Na(哪)’ , but this job is quite sensitive and difficult. Therefore, the solution is to use only one writing form- that is ‘A(啊)’ and make it indicate a pronunciation based on the phonetic variants. For example, ‘好大啊(～Ya)’, ‘多好啊(～Wa)’, ‘眞難啊(～Na)’ etc.
