Abstract
Under the pressure of managing changes in today’s unpredictable business environment, the key to high performance is both innovation and adaptability to changes. If organizations wish to be able to compete successfully in a fast-moving economic climate, they should not only develop their learning capacity but establish a high performance culture. HRD professionals can demonstrate their strategic capability in creating a learning organization in that they facilitate learning processes, measure learning outcomes, and design reward systems to motivate organizational learning. HRD professionals should actively participate in aligning people practices with a high performance culture by supporting opportunities for employees’professional growth, by suggesting the important people implications of change management, and by facilitating teamwork and leadership.
