日本外務省 팜플렛에 나타난 竹島(다케시마)영유권주장 10포인트에 대한 연구: 近世부분을 중심으로

일본의 독도영유권 주장은 지난 90년대 잃어버린 10년을 계기로 경기침체로 인한 장기불황과 사회의 우경화현상과 맞물려 더욱 빈번해지고 있다. 그리고 지난 2008년 2월 일본외무성은『竹島-다케시마 문제를해결하기 위해 10개의 포인트』라고 정한 팜플렛을 출판했다. 본 논문은 팜플렛이 주장하는 내용에 대해 근세부분을 분석한 내용이다. 일본이 주장하는 독도영유권은, 첫째, 독도는 역사적으로 일본의 고유영토이며, 둘째, 국제법적으로도 일본영토라는 것이다. 이에 대해 한국 역시 일본과 유사한 내용으로 독도가 한국영토임을 주장하고 있다. 본 논문은 독도가 한국이나 일본의 어느 한쪽의 영토여야 한다는 주장보다는 일본의 독도영유권주장이 논리적으로 어느 정도 정확한지를 분석하고 있다. 그리고 고문서나 고지도를 토대로 분석되어지기보다는 일본 외무성이 주장하고 있는 독도에 대한 일본정부의 공식입장에 대한 분석이라 할 수 있다. 그래서 본 논문이 추구하고자하는 목적은 역사적인 사실고증에 입각한 결론도출보다는 당시 일본의 독도영유권주장이 어느 정도 사실이며 또한 주장하는 논리의 정확성은 어느 정도 인지를 분석하고 있다.
Abstract
Japan's claims over Dokdo is becoming frequent, especially after the ten years of economic recession since 1990, and Japan's recent rightest movement. On Feb, 2008, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a pamphlet named 『Ten Points to Solve the Takeshima Issue』. This paper is an analysis of the pre-modern era in the paper. According to the pamphlet issued by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan's grounds for its claims over Dokdo is that firstly, Dokdo is historically an indigenous territory of Japan, and secondly, Dokdo is Japan's territory in terms of international law. Korea also argues that Dokdo is Korea's territory based on similar reasons. What this paper really tries to analyze, is not about which country Dokdo belongs to, but rather, how logical Japan's argument is. Moreover, this paper is not aiming to analyse ancient documents and ancient maps, but rather aims to analyse the official argument of the Japanese government. To conclude, this paper aims to analyse the logical limit of Japan's claims over Dokdo.
