초록
A stability analysis of tunnels in shallow reinforced grounds was performed topropose the simplified theoretical analysis method, which can estimate the vertical earthpressure on crown of tunnels. First, the vertical earth pressure acting on crown of tunnels was estimated by applyingthe cylindrical cavity expansion theory. Also, the results estimated by the theoreticalanalysis method were compared with the results by numerical analysis for the actualtunnels in field. According to this study, the following conclusions can be drawn. In the case of reinforcement of surface ground over shallow tunnels, the results bytheoretical analysis show good aggreements with those by numerical analysis before andafter the ground reinforcement. Therefore, the cylinfrical cavity expansion theory issuitable to investigate the stability of shallow tunnels by estimating simply the veriticalearth pressure acting on the tunnel crown. On the other hand, in case of excavation of surface ground over existing urban shallowtunnels, the stability of the tunnels is getting to be reduced according to the excavation. The results by the theoretical analysis in this case showed good agreement qualitativelywith results by the numerical analysis.
