초록
In this study, an improved scheme (1Zd) for the zone-based registration method with one zone is proposed for the case where the shape of the area is a square, and the corresponding performance is analyzed to compare with the existing method (1Z). In the proposed scheme, a new zone is configured so that some boundary cells overlap with the previous zone, different from the current scheme that the new zone is only in contact with the previous zone but has no overlapping cells. More specifically, this study proposes a scheme to configure a new area so that ① the cell in which the location registration occurs belongs to the inside that is in contact with the boundary cells in the new zone, and ② the boundary cells in the new zone overlap as much as possible with the previous zone. In order to analyze the performance of the proposed method, a simple but accurate mathematical analysis model based on the Markov chain model is presented, and the performance is analyzed and compared with the existing method. It was confirmed that the proposed 1Zd method always incurs less location registration cost than the existing 1Z, resulting in a lower total cost by about 38% at most, according to the mathematical results for various situations. The results of this study and subsequent studies can be usefully used to maximize the efficiency of wireless channels, which are limited resources.
